These slides are the re-telling of the death of Crystal, a homeless woman who died trapped in a clothing donation bin in January 2019. These illustrations were completed for Boye's Lifeline, an organization that directly provides food, clothing, and blankets to the homeless on our streets here in Toronto.
The following samples showcase my preliminary sketches and their translation to a finished product. This work was completed as part of a project for the animation studio Stitch Media.
Final images were exported in layers for manipulation post production. The end result will be an educational play through module for healthcare practitioners working with vulnerable patients.

The main characters in the script include those who identify as LGBTQ+, racial minorities, members of the homeless population, and the non-binary. My goal was the depiction of these minority groups without reinforcing harmful stereotypes.
Below is one of the protagonists, Keith, a caucasian male who is currently living on the streets. Further down is Sarah, a transgender woman of southeast Asian decent.
